The new center, which processes captioned telephone calls for individuals who are hard of hearing, began training classes and operations in April 2018. June 6, 2018, Aurora, Neb. — Hamilton Telecommunications, a local technology and telecommunications company has expanded its workforce by five with the addition of several local students working in summer internships within the company. Hamilton is proud to announce and welcome Jacob Ediger, Paige Faber, Sydney Shaw, Zachary Oblender, and Isaac Askey as Hamilton interns. December 18, 2018, Aurora, Neb — Hamilton Relay announced today that it is opening a new captioning center in Columbus, Georgia.  The new center which will be located at 1501 13thStreet in Columbus will begin training customer service call center operators in January with operations expected to begin in February, 2018. Hamilton plans to immediately hire between 50-100 new employees for a variety of positions, including: administrative support, human resources representative, recruiter, IT technician, supervisors, trainers, and customer service call center operators. FRS awards a one-time $2,500 scholarship to students from rural America for their first year of college, university or vocational-technical school. June 15, 2017 Aurora, Neb - Hamilton Telecommunications is pleased to announce that Dalton Peters was selected to receive a $5,000 academic scholarship by the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) the philanthropic arm of NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association. The $5,000 scholarship was one of four exclusive Staurulakis Family (JSI) Scholarships, given to exceptional students who plan on studying in the STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) field. May 15, 2017, Aurora, Neb. — Local technology and telecommunications company Hamilton Telecommunications announced that it is expanding its fiber network to serve all of its subscribers within the Hamilton Telephone local exchange in Hamilton County and the surrounding areas with direct fiber optic connections. February 2, 2017, Aurora, Neb. — Hamilton Relay, Inc., a national leader in the telecommunications relay and captioned telephone services industry, announced today that it has resumed operations and training classes in Albany, Georgia. After a severe storm demolished Hamilton's relay center, the company and the owner of the center, Carter Properties, immediately established plans to re-build. AURORA, Nebraska – MAY 17, 2016 – The Georgia Public Service Commission awarded Hamilton Relay a third consecutive contract to provide Telecommunications Relay and Captioned Telephone Services for the state of Georgia. The new contract went into effect on April 1, 2016 following a competitive procurement process.
