July 24, 2024 Aurora, Neb. — Hamilton, a local telecommunications and technology company, has completed a multi-year, multi-million dollar project to construct direct Fiber access throughout the entirety of its Hamilton Telephone local exchange territory. With over 1,187 miles of fiber laid throughout Hamilton County, and parts of Clay and Adams counties, every resident within the Hamilton exchange territory can now be connected directly to Fiber access. December 19, 2023, Aurora, Neb. – Hamilton Telecommunications is excited to announce that it is once again participating in the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) annual college scholarship program to help students from rural communities with the costs of higher education. FRS awards a one-time scholarship to students from rural America for their first year of college, university, or vocational-technical school. Scholarship awards range from $500 - $7,000. Gibbon, NE (May 30, 2023)—Today Hamilton Telecommunications announced that Skyler Summers has received a scholarship through the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS). Founded in 1994, FRS is the philanthropic arm of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, of which Hamilton Telecommunications is a member. The FRS Scholarship Program awards one-time scholarships to students from rural communities for their first year of college, university, or vocational-technical school. Each student is sponsored by an NTCA member company that may also contribute a portion of the scholarship award. June 3, 2021, Aurora, Neb. — Local Telecommunications and Technology Company Hamilton Telecommunications has announced it is a participating provider of the Federal Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program.  Under this program, eligible households may receive up to $50 per month credit on qualifying broadband programs. On Feb 25, 2021 the FCC adopted Report and Order 21-29 officially establishing the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program. In the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, Congress appropriated $3.2 billion to the FCC to help low-income households pay for broadband service and connected internet devices.
