AURORA, NEB. — June 5, 2026 — Hamilton Telecommunications has announced the celebration of its 125th year of providing technology and telecommunications services. This milestone reflects a rich company history delivering technology services that are built on more than a century of success, experience, commitment and innovation.
Established in 1901 as a local telephone cooperative serving Hamilton County, Nebraska, Hamilton Telecommunications has grown into a recognized leader in the telecommunications industry. Hamilton has remained on the forefront of innovation for more than a century, from adopting advanced switchboard technology and becoming one of the first in the U.S. to install a digital switch, to replacing cable lines with buried fiber optic infrastructure, which has since changed the landscape of the telecommunications industry. Over time, Hamilton expanded its technology offerings to include business solutions such as network management, cybersecurity, business phone systems and more. The company was also among the first providers of Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS), which later expanded to include Captioned Telephone (CapTel®) Service. Together, these milestones reflect Hamilton’s longstanding commitment to innovation, quality and meeting the evolving needs of its customers.

The community and customers are invited to help the company celebrate with a free summer grill out dinner from 4 – 7 p.m. at 1006 12th Street in downtown Aurora, NE.
